I'm photographing 40 incredible women over the age of 40 for a portrait and storytelling project celebrating the beauty, strength, wisdom, vulnerability and individuality that come with living a life.
But this isn't simply a photography session.
It's an experience designed to give you permission to step away from all the roles you carry for everyone else and spend a day being completely, unapologetically YOU.
Together we'll create portraits that don't just show what you look like.

I've spent years photographing women who walk into my studio telling me everything they don't like about themselves.

Their age.

For just a moment, all that criticism disappears.
They see what I've been seeing through my camera all along.
Her.
The strong woman. The beautiful woman. The woman who has lived, loved, lost, grown, screwed up, started again and somehow kept going.
I created the 40 Over 40 Legacy Project because I believe women deserve to exist in photographs now—not twenty pounds from now, ten years ago, or when they finally feel "good enough."

A typical session includes different elements, such as professional hair and makeup, wardrobe selection, and one-on-one time with a skilled boudoir photographer. It takes place in a setting that’s private and comfortable, complete with professional lighting and props.
HOW DO I PREPARE MY BODY FOR A BOUDOIR PHOTO SHOOT?
In the days ahead of your boudoir shoot in Mound, make sure you focus on confidence and self-care. Maintain a healthy diet and stay hydrated for glowing skin. Get enough rest to reduce fatigue and stress. Consider wardrobe options that make you feel confident. Also, discuss any concerns with your photographer.
WHAT NOT TO DO BEFORE A BOUDOIR PHOTO SHOOT?
When it comes to the things you should avoid prior to your session, these include extreme dieting or trying any new beauty treatments or products since they may cause unpredictable results. Avoid overexercising, as well as self-tanning products. Don’t go out of your way to prepare, as it can bring more harm than good. Just be confident that your Mound boudoir photographer will work magic to capture your beauty.
WHY TAKE PHOTOS AT A BOUDOIR PHOTOGRAPHY STUDIO?
For intimate sessions like those for maternity and boudoir photography, a studio offers a controlled environment that’s hard to recreate elsewhere.
